‘An extraordinary season’ – that's how President Oke Göttlich summed up the 2024/25 season for FC St. Pauli football club.

The club, which wants to do so many things differently from other football clubs, not only survived its first year in the Bundesliga after promotion and thus managed to stay in the league. The Kiezklub is also in a good financial position, which is not a matter of course when compared to the big clubs.

We followed FC St. Pauli throughout the season and documented each match day not only with a summary of the game, but also with the best photos from the pitch and the stands – because the club is not only the players around the popular captain Jackson Irvine, it is above all the fans who impress every season with their creativity and attitude.

Values such as solidarity instead of agitation and division, but also resistance to the advancing commercialisation of the football business, unite the fans with the committees, which also set a milestone in the club's history in the 2024/25 season: the founding of the cooperative. It serves the club's public welfare-oriented character in the multi-billion-pound football business and at the same time makes it more economically independent.
