The editor, Werner Skrentny, has lived in Hamburg as a journalist and author since 1978. He is the author of books on urban, sporting and football history, as well as travel guides (including one on New York). He is also the editor of books on the history of the Oberliga Süd and Oberliga Südwest football leagues and of Hamburger SV, for whose museum (permanent exhibition and various special exhibitions) he was responsible for the content. As an author, he has contributed to the following books on HSV: *Immer erste Klasse*, *Mit der Raute im Herzen* (both co-authored with Jens R. Prüss) and *Orte der Leidenschaft*. He has also edited *Das große Buch der deutschen Fußballstadien* for the publisher Die Werkstatt, amongst other titles.
